Three Truths and a Lie (or vice versa)

'I love you,' he said. She said,
'I love you, too.'

'I want to be with you forever,' he said. She said,
'I'm exhausted—I need sleep. Can you turn out the light?'

I love the structure -- the way that the "she said" appears on the previous line so that the whole thing can be reversed more effectively. "said she".

I was actually going to call it 'He said, she said' but then I realised I already had a poem by that title! Thanks for all the kind feedback. I'm busy with final assessments for uni this weekend and have largely missed out on everyone else's writing :(

Not waht he was looking for, I imagine. Very well written. I agree with Jester -- you positioning of 'she said' is clever. Thanks for linking up.
